Administration of the Component Build Service Server 

The Component Build Service (CBS) is part of the SAP NetWeaver Java Development Infrastructure (in short “JDI”). This documentation is designed for CBS administrators. For more information on the concepts of the CBS, see Architecture and Concepts of the Component Build Service.

This document is structured as follows:

·        CBS Server: Preparation gives information on the SAP J2EE Engine and CBS installation. It is also mentioned there, which settings you should adapt after the installation of SAP J2EE Engine and how to deploy CBS.

·        Configuring the Component Build Service describes the basic administration tasks with regard to the CBS.

·        Administration of the Server Contents in the CBS: describes how to maintain buildspaces – logical storage locations for a particular software component state. To do this, two tools are available:

¡        CBS Web UI

¡        CBS command line tool

·        Troubleshooting in the CBS provides some hints on how to solve problems that may arise when working with CBS.
