Assigning Parameters To iViews 
Use
You link the iView properties (iView input parameters) with room or room part parameters in order to be able to use additional information in room iViews and room part iViews.
Parameter Sources
Parameters that are available in every template for assignment to iViews can come from the following sources:
● Own (external) parameters of the room or room part
You can add these parameters to every template manually. The system queries the corresponding input values when you create a room or add a room part to a room.
● Extension parameters
These parameters can be returned to the room or room part as output parameters by extensions. In the room or room part, these output parameters can be assigned to the iViews or used as input parameters for other extensions.
Example: As an output parameter, an extension returns the path to a newly-created data store for the room. You assign this parameter to an iView.
As soon as an extension parameter is used, you can no longer delete the entire extension configuration.
● Content store parameters
In templates from previous releases that use content stores for rooms, two parameters (folders) are available for each content store – one for the internal (private) area and one for the public area of the room.
● Generic parameters of the room or room part
These
parameters are generated automatically by the room infrastructure for each
room or room part.
