Component documentation Object Locking  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Purpose

The Portal Content Studio allows you to create, edit, delete, export, and import objects. A locking mechanism prevents multiple administrators from performing these actions on the same object simultaneously.

Features

You can:

●      Set the duration for which objects are locked

●      Check which users currently have which objects locked

●      Check which objects are locked in which folders of the Portal Catalog

●      Display and unlock all locked objects in the Portal Content Directory (PCD)

●      Set up the system so that users can unlock their own locked entries

Constraints

The object locking mechanism is not yet available for all portal editors and objects. For example, locking is not yet possible for portal desktops and for themes.
