Function documentation Generic Navigation Block Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

The Web item Generic Navigation Block displays the navigational state of a query view in the Web application in the form of a table. All characteristics and structures in the query view are listed in the table and their filter values are displayed. You can change the navigational status of the query view. You can transfer characteristics and structures to an axis (rows or columns) or from an axis. You can filter according to single values and remove the filter again.

Features

You use the This graphic is explained in the accompanying text icon to expand an InfoObject by columns, and the This graphic is explained in the accompanying text icon to expand the InfoObject by rows. The InfoObject is drilled down in the table accordingly. In the navigation block a This graphic is explained in the accompanying text symbol appears next to the InfoObject. Click on this symbol to remove the drilldown from the table.

You use the This graphic is explained in the accompanying text icon to select filter values. The filter values you select are used to restrict the drilldown in the table. The filter values selected are listed in the navigation block. Use the delete This graphic is explained in the accompanying text option to remove the filter.

In the generic navigation block, there is a context menu that relates to the description of the characteristic (building component, for example):

·        Back

·        Back to Start

·        Select Filter Value

·        Drilldown ® Across or Down

·        Remove Drilldown

·        Swap Axes

·        Sort characteristic® Ascending According to Key / Ascending According to Name / Descending According to Key / Descending According to Name

·        Goto ® Display documents / Documents for Navigation Status

·        Currency Translation

·        Setting Bookmarks

·        Export As ® CSV File / MS Excel 2000 File

·        Properties of a Characteristic

·        Query Properties

Note

The contents of the enhanced context menu are listed in the description of the context menu functions. You can use the menu entries Enhanced Menu and Basic Menu, to toggle between the two versions. The basic menu contains a subset of the enhanced menu.
