Reorganization of Bookmark IDs and View IDs 

Use

With the RSRD_BOOKMARK_REORGANISATION report, you have the option to reorganize and delete bookmark IDs and view IDs that were created for Information Broadcasting by the system and are no longer needed.

A bookmark ID is the identification number (ID) of a saved navigation state for a Web application; a view ID is the identification number (ID) of a saved navigational state for a query.  These IDs result from the creation of precalculated documents and online links for Information Broadcasting.

Features

If you execute the report RSRD_BOOKMARK_REORGANISATION (transaction SA38), the Reorganization of Bookmarks / View IDs (generated in broadcasting) opens. You can use the following functions to do this:

Temporary Bookmark IDs / View IDs

Here you are able to delete temporary bookmark IDs that were created by the system for the generation of precalculated documents. The bookmark IDs or View IDs are no longer used in broadcast settings and are not part of URLs in sent online links.

You are able to select them for deletion and you can specify a time (for example, bookmark IDs or View IDs that are older than 8 days old are deleted automatically).

Bookmark IDs / View IDs Used in Sent Links

Here you are able to reorganize bookmark IDs and View IDs that are no longer being used in broadcast settings, but that are part of URLs in online links that have been sent. This means that the bookmark IDs and View IDs can only be deleted once they are not being used in a broadcast setting.

You are able to select them for reorganization and to specify a time.

Test Call

If you first want to see which bookmark IDs and View IDs are available for deletion according to your specifications without actually deleting them, select Test Call (No Deletion).

Output Details

To get the bookmark IDs and View IDs in a detailed list, select Output Details. Referenced means that the IDs are being used in a broadcast setting, Sent means that the IDs were sent as part of URLs.

Activities

Choose the transaction SA39, and enter RSRD_BOOKMARK_REORGANISATION in the Program field and choose Execute. Make the settings you need and choose Execute.

To automate the reorganization of bookmark and view IDs, you are able to schedule the RSRD_BOOKMARK_REORGANISATION report to run periodically in the background.
