Background documentation User Authentication and User Authorization in the DTR  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

The DTR provides a facility to allow for a controlled user access. The control over the access of the resources in the repository is exercised in two steps namely Authentication and Authorization.

·        Authentication aims at checking if the user is allowed to connect to the repository server.

·        Authorization aims at checking if the user is allowed to perform the operation he or she is trying to execute.
