Hierarchy Grouping
You can arrange users hierarchically into groups under root nodes and in doing so, assign device configurations to multiple users.
You can have just one root node. You cannot make assignments at this level.

The system automatically assigns the mobile devices used by the users to synchronize. You cannot assign mobile devices to a particular group directly.
You can also
determine which users or roles are allowed to manage the various groups of
users. Users of the Mobile Administrator will only see hierarchy groups if are
assigned to them as administrator or if they have the hierarchy super user
role (see
Setting Up
Administrator Users).
The users you want to assign to a hierarchy group, exist in the system.
The function incorporates the following activities:
● Finding, creating, and deleting a hierarchy and groups.

If you delete the root node for a hierarchy, the entire hierarchy (including all its substructures) is also deleted with it.
● Assigning users to a group.
● Moving users in the hierarchy.
● Assigning device configurations to a hierarchy group and users.
● Assigning authorizations for managing users and groups.
For more information on creating a hierarchy, see Creating a Hierarchy.
