Procedure documentation Scheduling an InfoPackage Group Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Procedure

  1. Choose Show InfoPackage Groups in the InfoSource tree of the Administrator Workbench – Modeling, or choose the InfoPackages view in Monitoring of the AWB.
  2. Select an InfoPackage group from the InfoPackage group tree and choose Schedule.

    3. You arrive in the scheduler (InfoPackage group maintenance) with the InfoPackages and Scheduling tab pages.

  3. Select the InfoPackages you want to load.

    4. By default, all InfoPackages are selected.

  4. On the tab page InfoPackages, number the InfoPackages that are assigned to the group according to the sequence in which the loading process is to be carried out.
  5. For the InfoPackages, select whether you want the monitor to run a check during the data update to see if the first request from the list has been completely and correctly processed. Only then will the request for which this indicator has been set be processed.
  6. Define a fixed delay of one minute for the individual InfoPackages. The delay represents the wait time until the next request is carried out.
  7. Schedule the InfoPackage group in the background.

The procedure corresponds to that of Scheduling InfoPackages in the background.

Recommendation

By checking for error-free postings from the predecessor and the time delays when executing requests, you can set the InfoPackage groups in order to serialize your data requests.

As of BW 3.0, we recommend using the process chains for this.

Result

The selected data from the bundled InfoPackages is loaded with respect to your settings in the InfoPackage group. The postprocessing for the InfoPackages is executed.
