Authentication: Defining the Logon Order
SAP delivers a standard check order for all available logon procedures. However, you can change this order. For each service, service node, or virtual host, you can specify the order in which the authentication methods are checked.

The definition of the logon order is passed on to lower level nodes and services in the service hierarchy. This means that any settings you make to a top level node also apply to all services under this node.

The settings are not passed on if specific values have been entered for a lower level node or service. If you make settings for these nodes or services, then they overwrite the settings from the top node.
1. Select a node in the service hierarchy in transaction SICF and choose Display/Change.
2. Under Service Data ® Logon Procedure, choose Alternative Logon Order. A new tab appears with the header Logon Order.
3. Change the order in which the logon is checked, according to your requirements.
