Transferring Translation Currency Exchange Rates on R/3 Systems

Use

With this function you can upload translation rates for currencies from another R/3 system into the TCURR table in your BW system.

Procedure

1. Choose the source system tree in the Administrator Workbench under Modeling.

2. Using the context menu on your This graphic is explained in the accompanying text R/3 source system, choose Transfer Translation Exchange Rate. You get to the screen Transfer Translation Exchange Rate: Selection.

3. Choose which exchange rate type you want to load and from which date changes should be transferred.

4. Under Mode you can select if you only want to simulate the upload or if you want to update or copy the exchange rates. Existing records are updated with the Update exchange rates option. Table TCURR is first deleted and new records are then loaded with the Recopy exchange rates option.

After uploading the data from the csv file, the OLAP caches are invalidated so that the new exchange rates are used for translation.
