Content Area 
The area of the portal desktop reserved for performing tasks, and in which navigation results and portal pages with iView content are displayed.
The content area can show a page containing several iViews, or just one iView in full-page mode.
The displayed information can be from any accessible data resource, such as an application, company files, or a Web address.
Think of the portal as your "personalized newspaper." The content area displays the newspaper pages, which contain the iViews, or articles. iViews cover news and events from many different sources. However, unlike newspaper articles, iViews are not merely static links that retrieve words and numbers. iViews allow you to "dig deeper" into the story, by asking ensuing questions to continue searching for related information in real time.
Above the content area, there is a page title bar, from which you can navigate directly to recently-visited pages, as well as launch various page-specific options. For information, see Page Title Bar.
Rather than just showing you open sales orders from your ERP system, iViews allow you to navigate through all the available related information until you know why an order is late and what you can do to ship it faster. Since iViews integrate seamlessly with other systems, you can immediately pull up contact information for those customers in your CRM system to inform them of the late delivery. All the necessary information you need to perform these various operations can be displayed on one page in the portal content area.
