       1.      In the portal header area, click Personalize.

       2.      From the Detailed Navigation iView, choose the item that you want to personalize. The content area displays the personalization options specific to that item.

       3.      Follow the relevant instructions for each respective item in the table below, saving after each procedure.

       4.      To return to your portal, click Close.

Personalization Options

Setting

Do the following:

Portal Theme

From the Select Theme dropdown list, select a theme.

The page elements are displayed according to the theme that you select, allowing you to see how the theme would appear in your portal.

Portal Language

From the Portal Language dropdown list, select a language.

The default language defined by the portal administrator replaces any language that the portal does not support.

User Mapping

Prerequisites: You have mapping permission for the system to which you want to map.

       1.      From the System dropdown list, select the target system.

       2.      Enter the logon credentials for this system. If you are not defined as a user for this system, enter the User and Password of a defined user; you will be mapped to the logon ID of that user.

       3.      To undo your changes before you have saved them, or to remove the current user and password, click Clear.

User Mapping (Remote iViews)

Prerequisites: Your organization has set up a federated portal network, and you have mapping permission to the system to which you want to map.

       1.      From your portal administrator, obtain any relevant information relating to your organization’s system landscape.

       2.      From the Remote Content Provider list, choose a target system and enter the appropriate logon credentials in the User and Password fields, (see User Mapping above).

       1.      Enter the required information in each field. The new password must be at least six characters long.

       2.      To remove your entries, click Clear.

User Profile

       3.      Enter the updated information. The mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk.

       4.      To remove the changes, click Reset.

WorkProtect Mode

Prerequisites:

·        WorkProtect Mode has been implemented in the components to which you want to apply this feature.

·        The administrator has activated the WorkProtect Mode Personalize property for each user.

       5.      Under Set the option for handling unsaved data during navigation choose your preferred setting.

       The option Choose action in popup on unsaved data means that you prefer to decide on a case-by-case basis

       1.      To effect the setting, restart your browser when you return to the portal.
