Creating a Virtual Interface for a Function Group or BAPI 

Prerequisites

The function group for which you are creating the VI must contain at least one RFC-enabled function module.

Procedure

To create a VI, proceed as follows:

       1.      Call the Object Navigator (transaction SE80).

       2.      Choose the package to which you want to assign the Web service.

       3.      Position the cursor on the name of the package.

       4.      From the context menu, choose Create ® Enterprise Service/Web Service ®Virtual Interface.

       5.      In the dialog box that appears, enter the required data.

       6.      Choose Create.

       7.      Choose one or more methods, followed by Create. You can subsequently remove or add methods to the VI.

       8.      Make any necessary changes in the VI: For more information, refer to the section Creating a Virtual Interface.

       9.      Save your settings and activate the virtual interface.

Result

You have created a VI. It is now displayed in the Object Navigator (SE80) in the assigned package under Enterprise Services ® Web Service Library ® Virtual Interfaces.

Alternatively, you can create a Web service with default settings using the Web Service Creation Wizard. You can then edit the objects generated by this wizard (VI and WSD) in the Object Navigator.
