Creating Campaigns in SAP CRM
This function allows you to create media-specific campaigns in the Marketing Planner in SAP CRM. Media-specific campaigns contain additional attributes over and above those in the SAP CRM campaigns; for example, a validity period, usage, or template documents.
If you use the business scenario Campaign Management for the Media Industry, you can create media-specific campaigns in the following two ways:
· in the Marketing Planner in SAP CRM
· in the campaign master data in SAP Media
This documentation describes how to create campaigns in the Marketing Planner. If you want to create campaigns in the SAP Media master data, choose the documentation Creation of Campaigns in SAP Media.
You need the campaign master data for campaign-supported entry of orders for promotional services and subscriptions and to evaluate the costs and effectiveness of a campaign.

You have defined your own set type so that an additional tab page is displayed in the Marketing Planner.
You should have integrated the BSP application ISMCAMPAIGNMGNT in the tab page, allowing you to enter the media-specific attributes of a campaign.

You should have made enhancements to program SAPLZOM<set type name> by accessing the corresponding function modules.

The functions for entering media-specific attributes are available in the Marketing Planner on the Additional Data tab. This tab is subdivided into the following tab pages:
· Campaign tab: Subdivided into three further tab pages
¡ Campaign tab: For entering general data, such as description, validity period, and usage
¡ Assignment tab: Display template documents assigned to the campaign, display and select template documents that can be assigned to the campaign
¡ Sorting tab: Display sequence for template documents, split into Media Sales and Distribution and Advertising Management
· Template tab: Display and change existing template documents and additional data, and create and search for template documents
· M/SD Promotion Data tab: Display promotion data and access the corresponding processing functions
To create a media-specific campaign, you must perform the following steps:
1. In the first step, create a template document. This should be a template offer for Media Sales and Distribution, and a template order for Advertising Management.
When you create a template document, you enter an offer or an order together with the data that applies to all the orders that are to be created with reference to a campaign. Each template document has a validity period.
The template documents in Advertising Management also have a copying variant. The copying variant determines which data is copied from the template order when the order is created.
Please ensure that you use a copying variant that copies the sold-to party and advertiser.
If the sold-to party and advertiser are not copied, they cannot be replaced by the order partner identified in the business partner search in order entry. The call center agent must then enter the sold-to party and advertiser manually for each order they enter with reference to a campaign.

The business partner for whom the order is entered is determined by the data flow for the dialog method CreateWithCampaign for the business object Advertising Management Sales Document (BUSISM008), by the dialog method CreateFromOfferWithDialog for the business object Sales Order Item for Newspapers and Magazines (BUS2107001), or by the BSP application Creation of Orders from an Offer.
2. In a second step, you create the campaign.
a. First, enter the attributes for the campaign, such as its validity period or usage. Also specify whether or not the campaign is business partner-dependent.
The campaigns you create will normally be business partner-dependent. To do this, assign one or more target groups to the campaign in the Marketing Planner.

You can display your company’s business partner-dependent and –independent campaigns separately in the data environment in the CIC.

b. Next, assign one or more template documents with a validity period to the campaign.
c. If you want to restrict the validity area of the campaign, you can assign it a sales area, as well as an item type if it is used in Advertising Management. If you do not assign the campaign a sales area or an item type, it is valid for all sales areas and item types. You can use the sales area and item type as search criteria in the value help (F4) for the Campaign field in order entry.
