You can use this process to replicate production orders to an MES.

Prerequisites

You have set up integration using the data replication framework (DRF) and you have created and activated a replication model for the production order. The DRF functions enable you to control the process more precisely. You can also edit the filters for all objects centrally.

Distribution by means of transaction POIT (Select Transaction Data for Transfer) is no longer possible.

For more information, see Data Replication and Setting Up DRF Integration for MES Processes.

Process

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

Integration: Production Order – MES

  1. You create a production order (for example, using transaction CO01, Create Production Order).

  2. You release the production order. The system transfers the order data to the MES using IDoc LOIPRO03 according to the filter criteria you set in the DRF.

  3. The MES generates an order.

  4. You make changes to the production order already distributed (for example, using transaction CO02, Change Production Order). The system transfers these changes to the MES using IDoc LOIPRO03 to ensure that the production data remains consistent.

  5. The MES confirms the order. Information such as confirmations for production quantities is transferred to the ERP system via a BAPI interface.

  6. The ERP system updates the production order to include the production data from the MES.
