You can use this process to replicate planned orders to an MES.

Prerequisites

You have set up integration using the data replication framework (DRF) and you have created and activated a replication model for the planned order. The DRF functions enable you to control the process more precisely. You can also edit the filters for all objects centrally.

Distribution by means of transaction POIT (Select Transaction Data for Transfer) is no longer possible.

For more information, see Data Replication and Setting Up DRF Integration for MES Processes.

Process

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

Integration: Planned Order – MES

  1. You create a planned order (for example, using transaction MD11, Create Planned Order or using transaction MD01, MRP Run).

  2. You save the planned order. The system transfers the order data to the MES automatically using IDoc LOIPLO02 according to the filter criteria you set in the DRF. When the IDoc LOIPLO02 is sent, the appropriate routing for the planned order is determined and exploded. The following data is transferred to the MES system using the IDoc LOIPLO02 when the planned order is distributed:

    • Planned order header data

    • Reservation data of the components

    • The ME IDs from the routings if you implement the integration of the ME routings

    • Assignment of the components to the individual operations

    • Operation data

    • Suboperations

  3. The MES generates an order.

  4. You make changes to the planned order already distributed (for example, using transaction MD12, Change Planned Order). The system synchronizes these changes with the MES using IDoc LOIPlO02 to ensure that the production data is consistent.

  5. The MES confirms the order. Information such as quantity confirmations is transferred to the ERP system via a BAPI interface.

  6. The ERP system updates the planned order based on the production data from the MES.
