Through the maintenance order, you can now make use of an integration between Enterprise Asset Management and a Manufacturing Execution System (MES). Planned or unplanned equipment downtimes can be sent to an MES.
You have created and activated a replication model that contains the outbound implementation for the maintenance order (468_1).
Integration with the maintenance order has been implemented as follows:
Automatic distribution
If you have set up integration for maintenance orders, the orders are distributed to an MES by means of IDoc IORDER_01 when they are released. In this process, the filter criteria and other prerequisites for the distribution process are checked. Changes that you make to orders that have already been distributed are also transmitted.
As soon as the maintenance order is distributed to an MES, the following fields in the ERP system are no longer ready for input, which ensures data consistency between both systems:
Functional Location
Equipment
Work center
Maintenance Plant
Downtimes
The MES sends a warning message if equipment is down. The ERP system reacts by creating a maintenance notification and a maintenance order and releasing each to the MES. The equipment downtimes can be determined on the basis of the maintenance notification.
