Background documentationEngineering Change Order

You use this activity to create engineering change orders (see Engineering Change Order (ECO)).

This activity allows you to do the following:

  • Associate SFC numbers with specific ECOs, allowing product that is active on the shop floor to be changed according to defined specifications

  • Define specific changes to product on the shop floor

On the Shop Floor Change Request screen, you can submit engineering change requests to product on the manufacturing shop floor.

In the ECO POD the ECO Processing (SU610) activity is associated with the Start pushbutton (see POD Pushbutton Activities).

For more information, see Creating ECOs.

Prerequisites

You have set the Enable Hold SFCs Checkbox in ECO rule in System Rule Maintenance (see Production Operations Rules).
