Scheduling Standards Maintenance

You can use this activity to define planned production standards for shop floor processes. These values are planned standards only, and are not actual values for actions on the shop floor. You can compare your planned rates, yields, and times with actual values on the shop floor. This helps you determine gaps between planned and actual results more precisely, gives feedback on your processes, and allows you to improve your yields and your time-to-market.

This activity allows you to do the following:

Set the following planned production standards:
- Production rates
- Yields
- Machine setup time
- Machine wait time
- Standard cycle rate
Set standards for the following levels:
- Operation
  These standards apply to any routing where workers perform a particular operation.
  
  Note
  The system applies the new standards to all versions of the operation.
  
  End of the note.
- Routing
  These standards apply to a specific routing where workers perform a particular operation.
- Material
  These standards apply when operators work a certain material on a specific routing and routing step.
  
  Note
  A standard can apply to more than one level. A routing-level standard overrides an operation-level standard, and a material-level standard overrides both routing-level and operation-level standards.

Operation	The operation for the standards source
Step ID	The step ID of the operation
Production Rate	The production rate standard
Planned Yield (%)	The planned yield standard expressed as a percentage
Setup Time	The setup time standard
Wait Time	The wait time standard
Standard Cycle Rate	The standard cycle rate
Details	Displays the Details screen.

Field	Description
Production Rate Qty	The production rate quantity Along with the Time field and the time unit, specifies a production rate standard for this row. Note This value represents the quantity of the rate, in other words, the value for `x` in the statement: `x` units per `y` hours. End of the note.
Time	The production rate time Along with the Production Rate Qty field and the time unit, specifies a production rate standard for this row. Note This value represents the time of the rate, in other words, the value for `y` in the statement: `x` units per `y` hours. End of the note. Hours (default): `x` units per `y` hours Minutes: `x` units per `y` minutes Seconds: `x` units per `y` seconds
Planned Yield (%)	The planned yield standard for this row Note Enter this value as a percentage. Do not use the percent sign. End of the note.
Setup Time	The setup time standard for this row Hours (default): The number of hours for setup entered in the Setup Time field Minutes: The number of minutes for setup entered in the Setup Time field Seconds: The number of seconds for setup entered in the Setup Time field
Wait Time	The waiting time standard for this row Hours (default): The number of hours for wait time entered in the Wait Time field Minutes: The number of minutes for wait time entered in the Wait Time field Seconds: The number of seconds for wait time entered in the Wait Time field
Standard Cycle Rate	The standard cycle rate for this row Hours (default): The number of hours for the standard cycle rate entered in the Standard Cycle Rate field Minutes: The number of minutes for the standard cycle rate entered in the Standard Cycle Rate field Seconds: The number of seconds for the standard cycle rate entered in the Standard Cycle Rate field Note that if Material has been specified as a standards source, you can calculate the standard cycle rate.
