Meaning

New

The work instructions have been generated but not yet processed.

Work instructions with the status New can only be deleted if you have performed the function Discard/Cancel (terminate).

In Process

The work instructions have been partly processed (for example, entries have been made and values calculated).

To delete work instructions with the status In Process, you first have to cancel (terminate) them.

To Be Completed

The work instructions have been processed to such an extent that they can be closed. The status To Be Completed can be acquired as follows:

●      In the case of work instructions with a completing signature (last asynchronous signature that automatically effects completion), all signatures for the process steps as well as the first individual signature of the completing signature process have been executed.

●      In the case of work instructions without completing signatures (synchronous signature), all signatures have been executed but the Complete function has not yet been explicitly performed.

Work instructions with the status To Be Completed cannot be deleted until they have been cancelled (terminated) or completed.

Terminated

The work instructions were being processed and were then terminated (cancelled) (Discard/Cancel function).

Completed

The work instructions have been completed (closed). Completion of the work instructions can be effected as follows:

●      In the case of work instructions with completing signatures (asynchronous signature), the work instructions are automatically completed when all entries have been made and the last completing signature has been executed.

●      In the case of work instructions without completing signatures, the work instructions are not completed until you explicitly perform the Complete function.

Discarded

The work instructions had the status New and were discarded (Discard/Cancel function).
