Use

You can find out about the processing state of a change order or change task from the statuses. For example, they control which changes are released for subsequent processes in different organizational units. All status changes are logged.

A predefined sequence of statuses (system statuses) for processing change orders and change tasks is delivered as standard. You can extend this status sequence for change orders by defining a status profile for user statuses.

Prerequisites

You have performed the following activity in the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Master Data Objects (MDM-MD), under Change Management:

·        Define Status Profile for User Status

The status profile ECMORD (Status Profile: Change Order) exists in the SAP standard system. This profile contains the status sequence for the standard processing of change orders.
If you want to extend this profile, copy the ECMORD profile, and add your company-specific statuses.

·        Define Change Type and Context

Specify the status profile for the context for the change type.

Features

In status processing, you can choose one of the following functions from the dropdown box:

·        History

The log data from the statuses used so far is displayed in the form view or the list view. The statuses are sorted chronologically, independently of whether they are system statuses or user statuses.

All statuses that are displayed under Structure linkHistory are no longer active.

·        Active Statuses

You can set the statuses according to how you defined the assigned status profile. The dropdown box contains all statuses that can be set in the current processing situation.

¡        The statuses for a change order are determined from the displayed status profile.
The system uses the assigned change type to determine the status profile.

¡        The status sequence for a change task is predetermined, and cannot be changed for a specific customer.

The following overview describes the system statuses that change orders and change tasks pass through in the standard system.
