Using Search Variants
For users of Visit Scheduling to be able to use search variants, saved search variants must be available. Furthermore, the search variant the user wishes to use must be assigned to him or her.
There are two ways of making this assignment:
· The user him- or herself saves his or her own search variant(s) (see Saving Search Variants on a User Basis)
· The system administrator assigns search variant to the user (see Assigning Search Variants to Users)
...
Call Visit Scheduling. For information on how do this, see Call Visit Scheduling.
Choose the required search variant from the value help for the Search Variant field.

Save search variant under a new name
If you modify an existing search variant, and don’t wish to delete this variant, save it under a new name by choosing Settings ® Search Variant ® Save as ...
You can rename the search variant you created by choosing Settings ® Search Variant ® Rename... The system administrator is authorized to rename search variants that apply for all users.

Define search variant as user-specific default
You can define one of your search variants as the user-specific default setting for the Standard Search and likewise one for the Advanced Search by choosing Settings ® Search Variant ® Use as Default Values. The next time you call the Standard Search or the Advanced Search, the system presets the values of this search variant.
