Use

Service entry for all cases is a function that lets you enter services for a number of cases without having to call case-related processing for every single case.

Here you can enter services for several cases on one screen. This is useful, for example, for the case-related entry of services performed by a medical service facility on a given day.

Integration

You can process services that you enter in service entry for all cases in the case-related service entry function.

Services that already exist for a case can be loaded into service entry for all cases where you can process them.

Features

Call Service Entry for all Cases

When you call service entry for all cases, the entry table for service entry appears. You access maintenance mode directly if you have the necessary authorization. If you only have display authorization, a dialog box appears for you to specify the cases whose services you want to display.

Maintain services

You enter the services in tabular form. The entry table is the same as in case-related service entry. The only additional input you have to make here is the case for which you are entering the services.

The other data you can enter is identical to that in case-related service entry.

You enter services by entering the case number, the service and further service data in each column of the table. When you have finished entering data for a service record, press ENTER. This takes you to the next row in the table where you can enter another service.

Note

To have the system use the validity dates and the organizational units from the assigned movement, leave the relevant table columns blank, and when you have entered the remaining data, choose Check.

To display or edit existing services, you can load these services for any number of cases in service entry for all cases. The Get services function is provided for this purpose.

User-Friendly Functions

A number of user-friendly functions are available to reduce the number of entries you have to make and to accelerate the service entry process. You can also custom tailor the layout of the entry table to satisfy your requirements. For information about this, see Personalizing the Entry Table. System administrators can create default settings that apply for all users. For information about this, see Setting Up Entry Table for All Users.

Processing Errors

The system checks data consistency only when you execute particular functions. This means that the entry process is not disrupted by messages being issued.

Any errors generated by the data consistency check are listed in a separate area beneath the entry table. Hotspots in the messages bring you to the errored service record. For more information, see Processing Errors in Service Entry.

You can activate additional checks for service entry for all cases by means of the check procedure in Customizing for IS-H. To do this, assign the desired rule types to event NLRG07 in the check procedure. In service entry for all cases, the system executes these checks when you choose Rules. When you choose Actions, the system executes the same checks without listing the error messages. Instead, it lists the relevant service adjustment actions. For more information about service checks, service rules and service adjustment actions, see Service Rules and Service Adjustment Actions and Structure linkMaintain Check Procedure in the IS-H Implementation Guide.
