Use

You can create a preregistration with a provisional outpatient appointment followed by an inpatient admission appointment.

Prerequisites

The Create Preregistration function is available when you are creating views based on the following view types:

You can, for example, call preregistrations from the Care Unit Work Station or from the Outpatient Clinic/Service Facility Work Station. Here the system administrator must have set up a view that contains a function variant with the This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Create Preregistration function (a preregistration list or a waiting list, for example).

Procedure

  1. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Create Preregistration.
  2. The Create Preregistration dialog box appears.

  3. In the Patient group box, specify provisional master data for a new patient, or find the patient master data of an existing patient by entering the data known to you, and then choosing This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Patient.
  4. In the Preregistration group box, enter the data pertaining to the preregistration. For more information about this, see Enter Preregistrations.
  5. On the first tab page, enter the planning data (such as the case type outpatient case).
  6. You can branch to the open time slot search by clicking on the This graphic is explained in the accompanying text icon to the right of the This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Sg/Treatment field. For more information, see Find Open Time Slots Using Standard Search.

    When the scheduling procedure has ended, return to the preregistration; the system transfers the provisional outpatient appointment into the This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Sg/Treatment field in the preregistration.

    You can enter an inpatient admission appointment in the This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Admission field, or branch to the day-based scheduling function by clicking on This graphic is explained in the accompanying text icon to the right of this field. For more information, see Booking Inpatient Admission Appointments Using Day-Based Scheduling. When the scheduling procedure has ended, return to the preregistration; the system transfers the scheduled admission day and the admitting care unit into the This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Admission and Care Unit fields in the preregistration.

  7. Enter other data as required on the other tab pages.
  8. Save the preregistration.
