Entering Services for Case Manually in Prelim. Entry 
The initial screen of case-related preliminary service entry appears.
If you do not know the patient or case number, determine the patient using the patient index search, and choose him or her in the patient list. The patient’s case list appears. Choose the required case. To enter services for a case in preliminary entry, choose the required movement.

You need not maintain all of the fields. However, you should at least specify the service and the service date. When you transfer the services into service entry, the system automatically determines the values of the fields you did not maintain, if possible, from the movement data of the case and the service master data.

Set header data |
You specify values, which are identical for all of the services to be entered, for the fields in the header data. When the services are entered, the system fills these fields automatically with the values specified. |
Maintain fields of existing service records |
Set the column(s) whose values you want to maintain, and then choose Set columns. |
In the Set Column Values dialog box you can specify whether all of the service records or only those selected are to be edited. You can additionally specify if only empty fields or also fields that are already maintained are to be edited. |

The system displays all of the services that were already entered using the preliminary service entry function. You can change these here. |
You return to the initial screen.
Result
To make sure services from preliminary entry are taken into account by service checks and to be able to bill for these service or transfer them to Controlling, you have to transfer these services to service entry.
