Use

You specify which service charges an insurance provider covers for a case, and to what extent, by assigning a contract scheme to a case-related insurance relationship. If the system does not contain a contract scheme that precisely accommodates the coverage offered by the insurance provider, you can modify the assigned contract scheme in relation to the case. In this way, you create an individual contract scheme.

Prerequisites

You are in the transaction for maintaining case-related insurance relationships, and have assigned a contract scheme to the insurance relationship.

Procedure

  1. Choose the contract scheme you want to individualize.
  2. The header data of the contract scheme appears. If the contract scheme has not already been modified for the case being processed, the system issues a message accordingly.

  3. Modify the header data such that it reflects the coverage offered by the insurance provider for the case you are processing.
  4. To individualize the item data, go to the items by clicking This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Items.
  5. If the contract scheme only has one item, the detail screen of the item is displayed automatically.

    Otherwise, an overview of the existing items appears. Here select the item you wish to individualize, and then choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

  6. Modify the item data such that it reflects the coverage offered by the insurance provider for the case you are processing.
  7. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.
  8. The overview of the contract scheme items appears.

  9. Modify other items, as required.
  10. Note that you cannot enter new items for the contract scheme.

  11. To exit the maintenance of individual contract schemes, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text until you return to the maintenance of case-related insurance relationships.
  12. Save the data.

Result

The system saves the changes you made to the contract scheme for the case in question. This means they only apply to the case you are processing and do not change the contract scheme as a whole.

The header and item data of the contract scheme that cannot be changed when you maintain an individual contract scheme continues to be taken from the contract scheme as defined in Customizing and thus applies to the individual contract scheme also. This means that changes you make to this data in Customizing also apply to the individual contract scheme.

If, when maintaining or displaying the case-related insurance relationship, you go into the header data of an assigned contract scheme, the system issues a message informing you whether or not this contract scheme has been individualized.
