Function documentation Admission Appointments in Views of View Type Arrivals Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

To inform the care unit staff of a patient’s pending arrival before the patient is actually admitted, the Care Unit Work Station displays inpatient admission appointments in addition to admission and transfer movements in a view of the type Arrivals.

Prerequisites

The system displays all admission appointments that satisfy the following criteria:

Where possible, the Arrivals View displays the same information for admission appointments as for admissions and transfers. The This graphic is explained in the accompanying text icon distinguishes admission appointments from admissions and transfers.

Features

Display, Change and Cancel Preregistration

In an Arrivals view, you can access the preregistration from the admission appointment. You can display, change or cancel the preregistration.

When you delete the Admission Date by choosing This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Preregistration, the system cancels the admission appointment and deletes the preregistration from the view. You can still access the preregistration in question from the enhanced waiting list.

Note

For IS-H*MED users: A preregistration without an admission appointment appears under Without Appointment in the preregistration list.

If it turns out that a patient is not admitted, and the entire preregistration is no longer applicable, you can cancel this preregistration from the admission appointment by choosing This graphic is explained in the accompanying text (Cancel Preregistration) in the right area of the EnjoySAP Admission screen.

Admit Patient

You can admit a patient by choosing This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Preregistration. When you choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Admission on the preregistration screen, this takes you to the transaction for creating an inpatient admission.

When the admission is saved, this means that the patient has attended the admission appointment and the system deletes the admission appointment from the Arrivals view.

If you change the care unit specified in the admission, the system includes the patient in the Occupancy view of the new care unit.
