Procedure documentation Maintaining Organizational Unit-to-Building Unit Assignments Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You create the link between the organizational hierarchy and the building hierarchy by assigning OUs to building units. You can specify the assignments of organizational units and building units using the organizational structure maintenance transaction or the building structure maintenance transaction.

This involves you creating an assignment involving OUs located on the lowest level of the organizational hierarchy (e.g. care units, outpatient clinics) and building units located at the uppermost level of the building hierarchy (e.g. rooms, corridors).

Prerequisites

The organizational units and building units for which you want to create an assignment must already exist.

Note

The category of the OU and of the building unit determines whether they can be assigned to one another. In Customizing for IS-H, you specify which organizational unit categories may be assigned to which building unit categories.
