Use

If you want to prevent an organizational unit (OU) from being used (in the patient assignment, for example), you can block this OU. You do this by setting the blocking indicator in the OU master data..

If the blocking indicator is set, the OU is blocked for the duration of the validity period.

If an OU is only temporarily unavailable, due to construction work, for instance, you have to set the blocking indicator and deselect it as soon as the OU can be used again.
