Procedure

  1. On the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Hospital ® Patient Management ® Outpatient Clinic Management ® Outpatient Clinic ® Visit Scheduling.
  2. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Planning Object(s).
  3. The Visit Scheduling: Set View dialog box appears.

  4. Enter the data for the required outpatient clinic or service facility and the required date.
  5. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.
  6. The Outpatient Clinic Management: Visit Scheduling screen appears.

  7. Select the start of the appointment block of the planning object to be substituted. You do this by positioning the cursor on the appropriate entry in the daily schedule of a planning object, and then choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.
  8. Select the end of the appointment block by positioning the cursor on the appropriate entry in the daily schedule of the planning object, and choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.
  9. The block of appointments you’ve selected is highlighted in color.

  10. If the appointment block to be substituted extends over several days, position the cursor either in the row Morning or Afternoon in the appointment overview, and then choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.
  11. The substitution interval you’ve selected is then displayed on a colored background in the appointment overview and in the respective daily schedule.

    Note

    A substitution interval can contain appointments and time slots.

  12. Position the cursor on the daily schedule of the planning object that is to be the substitute, and then choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.
  13. Note

    If appointments exist already for the substitute planning object, a dialog box outputs the message Substitution not possible or only possible in a restricted manner. The system only makes those appointments from the appointment block into substitute appointments for the substitute planning object which do not result in appointment collisions. The other appointments remain in their original status with the planning object for which you want to create the substitution (see example).

  14. You can check the substitution data in the Substitute Appointment Block dialog box. You can enter a reason for the substitution in the Canc. Reason field.

Result

The substitution is created. The appointments and time slots affected by the substitution are identified by This graphic is explained in the accompanying text in the daily schedule.
