Rejecting a Leave Request 

  1. Log on as the user WF-HR-A using the password Welcome .
  2. Call up the transaction as follows:
  3. Menu Path

    Human resources ® Personnel Management ® Adminstration ® HR Master Data ® Maintain

    Transaction Code

    PA30

  4. On the Maintain HR Master Data screen, enter the following data:

  6. Choose .
  7. Choose the Time mgmt trans. data tab page.
  8. Select Absences and then select Today in the Period field.
  9. Choose .
  10. The Subtypes of Infotype 2001 dialog box appears.

  11. Select the item 0100 in the column A/A ty.; then choose .
  12. On the Create Absences screen, choose .
  13. Saving the absence request triggers a event which starts the workflow Absence Approval.

  14. Choose until the overview tree appears.
  1. After entering the leave request, logon as the user WF-HR-M using the password Welcome .
  2. If the message appears that you have an unread document in your inbox, choose .

  3. Call up the transaction as follows:

  5. On the Workflow Inbox[user name] screen, place the cursor on the line Approval leave for Michaela Maier.
  6. Choose .
  7. The Display Absences screen appears .

  8. Choose and .
  9. The Approval Leave for Michaela Meier from # # to # # dialog box appears.

  10. Choose Not approved.
  11. Choose Attachment.
  12. In the Create Document:Header dialog box, enter the following data:

    Absence not approved

  14. Choose .
  15. The Change Document: MESSAGE Language EN screen appears. Here you may enter a text giving reasons for the refusal, e.g. "Your presence is absolutely necessary at this date".

  16. Choose and .
  17. The User Confirmation dialog box appears.

  18. Choose Complete processing of step.
  19. Choose until the overview tree appearsn.

Now the Trip Costs Administrator can check in his/her inbox to see if the leave request is completely approved, partially approved, or if it was rejected.

  1. Log on as the user WF-HR-A using the password Welcome.
  2. If a message appears that you have an unread document in your inbox, choose .

  3. Call up the transaction as follows:

  5. On the Workflow Inbox [user name] screen, place the cursor on the line Requested Leave from # # to # # was ... .
  6. Choose .
  7. The Requested Leave from # # to # # was not approved by user dialog box appears.

  8. To read the reasons for the refusal select the icon Display attachement. Leave the document view by choosing .
  9. In the Requested Leave from # # to # # was not approved by user dialog box, choose Cancel request.
  10. The trip costs administrator can now delete his/her leave request.

  11. Choose .
  12. Deletion of the record is then confirmed.

  13. Choose Complete processing of step in the dialog box.
  14. Choose until the overview tree appears.
