Creating the Maintenance Notification 

Usage

A production employee notices a leaking pump and creates a PM maintenance notification.

Procedure

Log on to the IDES system. This user creates the maintenance notification.

    Logistics ® Plant Maintenance ® Maintenance Processing ® Notification ® Create (Special) ® Malfunction Report.

    Transaction Code

  2. Choose .
  3. Enter the following data:

  4. Choose .

    5. The system confirms that the catalog profile has been copied from the equipment. This means that information related to the equipment, such as area of responsibility, has been included in the maintenance notification.

  5. Choose the Items tab page. Position your cursor on the Damage field, then choose the F4 input help.

    6. The Catalog Selection dialog box appears.

  6. Choose "+" next to PUMP/100.
  7. Choose Leaking.
  8. Position your cursor on the Object part field, then choose the F4 input help.
  9. Choose "+" next to PUMP/100.
  10. Choose 1001 Inlet/Outlet.
  11. Choose .

    12. Note the notification number.

Log off from this IDES system.
