Purpose
The following table summarizes which products you can plan in SAP APO.

It is recommended that you plan critical products and components in the SAP APO system and non-critical products and components in the OLTP System. However, if you plan a component in the SAP APO system, you must also plan all components in the BOM path up to the finished product, in SAP APO. If you plan a component in the OLTP System, you must also plan all sub-components in the OLTP System.
