Labor Management provides you with a series of functions that help you to plan labor times and resources in your warehouse more effectively, thereby making your warehouse more productive. You use these functions to measure, plan, simulate, and visualize the activities in your warehouse.
You can compare and evaluate the performance of your warehouse employees based on engineered labor standards. After executing planned work, you can compare the planned and actual times, and trigger incentives such as bonus payments using a connected HR system.
LM enhances the comprehensive warehouse management offered by Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), and was developed as an addition to EWM. LM is service-oriented and uses measurement services in planning, for example.
It supports processes such as analytical functions by providing BI Content for EWM. You can find all the BI objects in InfoArea Extended Warehouse Management (0WM) under Supply Chain Management. You use these for long-term, strategic planning, in addition to the short-term, operational planning that you perform in EWM through planning and simulation.
You use the short-term operational planning to define calculated planning goals, based on the workload, employees in the warehouse, and the calculated measurement service.
You use LM with Extended Warehouse Management.
For more information about EWM, see SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM).
For more information about using analytical functions, see Analytical Functions.
The following functions are available in LM:
● LM-specific master data, such as processors, and the formula and condition editors
● Indirect labor for recording additional work
● Defining engineered labor standards
● Creating planned and executed workload
● Labor Management in the warehouse management monitor
● Performing operational planning
