Caution
You can only process bank details in SAP Media (IS-M)
. The bank details processed in Financial Accounting (FI)
cannot be used in IS-M
.
The assignment between bank details and sales areas
determines the sales areas in which bank details for vendor business partners can be used.
You can control the assignment to sales areas for the SAP BP using the Bank Details Sales Area-Dependent
indicator under General IS-M Control Parameters
in Customizing. If you do not select this indicator, you can use the bank details in all sales areas.
When you create bank details from the order, the system automatically takes account of the setting you choose here.
Note
If you only want to use bank details in certain sales areas, you must select the Assigned
indicator in the relevant sales area on the Media Sales and Distribution
tab in the BP master data for a "customer" business partner. You should have created the bank details beforehand on the Payment Transactions
tab. Bank details that are not assigned to the relevant sales area cannot be used in IS-M
orders and are therefore not displayed. When you create bank details from the order, the system automatically assigns the sales area.
You can only assign bank details to a sales area for customer roles. To do this, you must specify the sales area on the Sales and Distribution
tab in role maintenance.
You can specify advertisers and booking units in the note to payee in the bank details, for example so that an agency can process payments for different advertisers or publications using different accounts. You enter the note to payee using the Note to Payee
button on the Payment Transactions
tab in BP master data.
The system automatically assigns bank details for all sales areas for a certain advertiser or booking unit in the Advertising Management (IS-M/AM)
order.
You can change bank details that are used in IS-M/AM
sales documents in the master data if you use the SAP BP. If the bank details you change are already used in sales documents, the new bank details are used the next time billing takes place if you have arranged automatic debit with the customer.
To record data on collection authorization, select the Collection Authorization
indicator on the Payment Transactions
tab and choose Collection Authorization
. As well as specifying the validity period
, you can also record data on the collection amount
. The administrator can display this data during order processing.
If you delete the collection authorization for bank details in master data, the system notifies you of the inconsistency if you process a sales document in which these bank details are used together with a payment method
that requires collection authorization You can decide whether you want to change the payment method or assign different bank details to the sales document.
The bank data change service contains the following functions:
You can use the report RJGBDC_FILE_CREATE (IS-M: Create File for Bank Data Change Service
) to create a file of bank details according to the specified bank number. This file can be edited externally. For example, you can pass it on to a bank, which adds any necessary changes to bank details.
The report RJGBDC_FILE_PROCESS (IS-M: Bank Data Change Service: File Processing
) imports the file and changes the bank details in the BP master records according to the information received from the bank.
For more detailed information, please see the report documentation.
You can use the report RJGBDC_BANKKEY_CHANGE (Change Bank Number in Bank Details
) to change the bank number in the bank details in SAP BP master records.
The bank details are selected according to the old bank number. The bank number is changed in all the selected bank details. None of the other bank data is affected by the change. The changed bank number is updated in the bank data in the customer and vendor master.
Caution
Please note that you must not make this master data change during normal operations or during billing.
For more detailed information, please see the report documentation.
