Function documentationAppointment Planning View Type

The Appointment Planning view type is available in the Clinical Work Station. You use the Views of the Appointment Planning view type for graphically planning appointments in the clinical system (i.s.h.med) using the Planning Grid.

The planning grid in the Appointment Planning view type is available for the following planning activities:

  • Planning an appointment for a Planning Objectof the Room or Organizational Unit (OU) type.

Note Note

You cannot plan for personnel planning objects.

End of the note.

Due to the integration of the Appointment Planning view type in the Clinical Work Station you can configure work stations for employees of planning facilities which plan appointments, which comprise services that are to be planned in the form of a worklist.

In the Appointment Planning view type, day-based appointments are also available in the appointment overview for planning.

The Appointment Planning view type enables you to create and change appointments for:

  • Preregistered order items

  • Ordered or requested services

  • Ordered surgeries

    Note Note

As emergency surgeries cannot be planned, the Appointment Planning view type does not display emergency surgeries.

    End of the note.

The list of the entries in the worklist of the planning grid is refreshed by means of the selection assigned to the view in conjunction with the time frame and the patient's appointment calendar. Refresh can either be manual by choosing the pushbutton with the quick info text Refresh, or automatic by means of a defined refresh interval. The interval for automatic refresh is specified in the view definition.

    • Goal

The system administrator wishes to define a view that users can use for making their own selections.

    • Method:

If the user selects the view pushbutton, the system should not immediately display the Appointment Planning view, but the selection screen should appear, where the user enters the selection criteria, for example the performing OU to which the list of patients to be treated should refer.

    • Prerequisite

Der Systemadministrator legt beim Einrichten einer Sicht eine Selektionsvariante an, bei der er das Kennzeichen man. Eingabe Sel. setzt.

    • System Behavior

When the user calls the view, the selection screen will first appear. The selection data from the selection variant is displayed by default. The user can change the selection data, e.g. select a different initiating OU. After changing the selection criteria you return to the view. The selections you have just made apply. These selections remain active throughout the session (in other words as long as you remain in the transaction). If you switch to a different view in the meantime, the settings remain in force.

You specify the criteria for sorting the worklist on the Sorting tab page. These are:

  • Date

  • Initiator

  • Performing OU

  • Other

You can select three additional columns for sorting from the field selection. For each column, you can specify whether the data should be sorted in ascending or descending order.

    Note Note

Über mit Quick-Info Grundeinstellungen können Sie die temporären Änderungen für eine Sicht wieder zurücksetzen.

The next time you start the clinical work station, the default selections made by the system administrator for the view apply anew.

    End of the note.

In the selection variant, you specify the interval for the automatic refresh of the planning grid worklist.

The Appointment Planning view type also enables you to plan cyclic services for a cycle master service.

Note Note

If the selection for a view of the Appointment Planning view type yields one or more cycle master services without individual services, the cycle report is run at the first call of the planning grid only.

End of the note.
