Function documentationSurgery Request

The surgery request is the functional starting point in the operative support of the surgery system.

Underlying surgery registration is the service request model, which forms a major component of service communications. For this reason, i.s.h.med speaks of requests to an operating organizational unit, in short, of surgery requests, rather than of surgery registrations.

Each surgery request is based upon the same procedural logic as the conventional service requests of i.s.h.med. This means the same definition concept: the surgery request definition in the basic data is to be carried out according to the rules of a conventional service request.

  • The same status concept: surgery requests undergo the same status sequence as conventional service requests:

    • Unconfirmed

    • Cofirmed

    • In Process

    • Completed

  • The sequence of entry, management and processing of surgery requests is the same as for conventional service requests.

  • Despite being based on the same processing logic, surgery requests feature a new data entry layout, which permits the input of additional medical and organizational information.

    Note Note

    • Automatic Presetting

The system will automatically preset medical data for the surgery request (team, duration, room, consent required, etc.) after you select the service.

    • Diagnosis Entry

You can enter diagnoses in the surgery request. There is an entry field available in the input help. The text you enter here represents a free text diagnosis.

    • Employee Responsible

You can only enter the employee responsible (EmR) once in each surgery request. This is also true of the classical service request.

    End of the note.
