Use

Using the pattern wizard, you can adjust BI patterns to meet your requirements and configure them to meet your needs. BI patterns are Web-supported interface elements with specific predefined functions. Patterns are used as templates for Web applications; you can adjust them to your needs.

You can also convert BI patterns into Web templates by using the pattern wizard. Once they are converted, however, you can no longer edit the Web templates using the pattern wizard.

Integration

The pattern wizard is an integral part of the Web Application Designer and does not require any additional installation. You can call the pattern wizard as follows in the Web Application Designer:

...

       1.      In the Web Application Designer menu bar, choose Web Template New, or choose New Web Template with Pattern Wizard in the upper area to the right in the initial Web Application Designer view.

       2.      On the All Patterns and Web Templates tab page, choose a BI pattern from under the BI Patterns with Pattern Wizard node. The pattern wizard starts automatically.

Prerequisites

The pattern wizard is available as of SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Support Package Stack 9.
