Function documentation Define Revenue Account Assignment as Posting Object Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

It is possible to post actuals/commitments by default in Funds Management (FM) on all revenue account assignments (FM account assignments). It is not necessary/not possible to specify a revenue account assignment as the posting object because the corresponding indicator Pos (Posting address) is not displayed for budget structure maintenance.

However, if you want to define a specific revenue account assignment as the posting object, you can define this setting for each FM area in Customizing. This enables you to exclude certain revenue account assignments for actual/commitment postings. Activating this function makes it obligatory to define revenue account assignments as posting objects as a master data setting.

Activities

       1.      You activate this function in the Customizing of Funds Management, under Master Data ® Use of Account Assignment Elements ® Former Budgeting ® Budget Structure ® Define Revenue Account Assignment as Budget Objects.

You set the indicator Revenue Account Assignment as Posting Object for the relevant FM area and save the entry.

       2.      In the menu of Funds Management, choose the budget structure maintenance and define which revenue account assignments should be designated as posting objects.

You can use both individual processing and mass processing of the budget structure to define the posting object.
