Definition

Selection tab pages divide the selection area in the Batch Information Cockpit thematically according to selection criteria.

Use

You enter your selection criteria on the selection tab page(s).

Structure

The standard system displays the following selection tab pages:

·        This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Material

·        This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Batch

·        This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Classification

On this selection tab page you can select batches by:

¡        Batch class

¡        Classification status(es) of the batches

¡        Selection class and characteristics

If you want to display characteristics for a batch, or according to characteristics, then you must enter a selection class and choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

·        This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Stock

·        This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Shelf-life

On this selection tab page you can select batches from various stocks according to their shelf life.

You influence the display of the SLED status using the Remaining shelf-life field in the Selection Result: Batches/Stock.

Example

In the Remaining shelf-life field, enter 10 days and leave all indicators for the SLED active.

The batches whose SLED expires within the next 10 days are indicated with This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

The batches whose SLED has expired today are indicated with This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

The batches whose SLED expires in more than 10 days are indicated with This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

If you do not make an entry in the Remaining shelf-life field, the system interprets this as 0 days.

This means that batches whose SLED expires today are indicated with This graphic is explained in the accompanying text. Batches whose SLED has already expired are indicated with This graphic is explained in the accompanying text, and batches whose SLED expires in the future are indicated with This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

For batches where the SLED is not known, the column SLED Status in the Selection Result: Batches/Stock shows This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

·        This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Worklist

You can use this selection tab page to make a selection according to the contents of one or more worklist folders.

·        This graphic is explained in the accompanying text ATP/Display units of measure

You can use this selection tab page, you can obtain information about the availability situation of batches for a specific requirements date.

You can display the stocks and ATP quantities in the following units of measure:

¡        Base unit of measure

¡        Batch-specific units of measure (product and proportion unit of measure)

¡        Alternative unit of measure (for example, purchase order unit of measure)

·        This graphic is explained in the accompanying text BAdI

You can use this selection tab page to work with a customer-specific selection via BAdI.

For more information, see Customizing for Batch Management under Batch Information Cockpit ® Selection Enhancements ® Business Add-In: Selection Enhancement.

SAP delivers two example implementations for this BAdI:

¡        Inspection lots

You can use this implementation to select by batches in inspection lots. In the Selection Result: Batches, the system displays the inspection lot numbers relevant for the batches. Click an inspection lot number to display the inspection lot in a new session.

For more information, see Customizing for Batch Management under Batch Information Cockpit ® Selection Enhancements ® Define Selection Enhancements/Selection Enhancements: Assign User Groups.

¡        Batch-related objects

You can use this implementation to select by batches in different objects (for example, in sales orders, deliveries, handling units, and so on). You can display additional information on the objects (table fields) in the Selection Result: Batches.

In addition, you can display the batches that have gone into producing the selected batch (top-down) or the batches that have resulted from the selected batch (bottom-up) in the Selection Result: Batches.

For more information, see Customizing for Batch Management under Batch Information Cockpit ® Selection Enhancements ® Define Selection Enhancements/Selection Enhancements: Assign User Groups and Batch Information Cockpit ® Batch-Related Objects ® Display Selection Tables for Batch-Related Objects/Define User-Group-Specific Batch-Related Objects and Fields.
