Integrate Business Event Types/Business Events 

Purpose

Integration between SAP Learning Solution and Objective Setting and Appraisals makes it possible to include different business event types in appraisal templates and appraisal documents.

·        You can make settings in Customizing that allow you to include business event types as criteria in an appraisal template. All appraisal documents created using this appraisal template contain the business event types you selected without you having to include fixed or free enhancements.

·        At the level of the appraisal template you can use fixed or free enhancements.

¡        If you use the fixed enhancement Required Business Event Types, all the business events that an individual employee must attend are imported dynamically into the appraisal document for each employee when the appraisal document is created.

¡        If you use the fixed enhancement Add Booked Courses, all the business events that are booked for an individual employee are imported dynamically into the appraisal document for each employee when the appraisal document is created.

¡        If you use the free enhancement Add Business Event Types, you can select different business event types individually for each employee in the appraisal document.

Constraints

·        The application only enables you to display business events and business event types. Other activities such as booking or deleting business events are not supported.

·        Integration only exists between SAP Learning Solution and Objective Setting and Appraisals. Integration with Training and Event Management is not currently supported.

Integrate Free and Fixed Enhancements

       1.      In the appraisal template, access the Columns tab page.

       2.      In the Dynamic Settings group box, choose the fixed or free enhancement you require from the input help.

       3.      Choose a reference element from the input help or create a new reference element. For more information about creating reference elements, see the system documentation and select the Info Button that is displayed to the right of the Reference Element field after you have selected the enhancement.

       4.      Save your entries.

Result

You have integrated business event types from the SAP Learning Solution with Objective Setting and Appraisals.
