AHP Processing in Holiday
Pay Vacation Period
This process explains the Advance Holiday Pay processing for an employee during the Holiday Pay Vacation Period (HPVP).
During HPVP, the system carries forward the amount to be paid to the employee in Holiday Pay Return Period (HPRP), from Old Gross Results Table (OGRT) to the new Gross results Table (GRT).
The Advance Holiday Pay schema (IEAH) calls Vacation Period Checkrule (IEPV) to determine whether the current payroll period is HPVP. If the current period is HPVP, the schema calls:
· Read OGRT to GRT rule (IEKO) to transfer the wage types from the OGRT to the current GRT.
· Reduce holiday pay vacation period by 1rule (IEPB).This rule subtracts the value 1 from Holiday Pay Periodswage type (/HOL) value during each period the employee is on vacation. Thus the value of this wage type is reduced to zero during the HPRP.
· Subtract from GRT rule (IEKG) to process the wage types that exist in the Input Table (IT) as per Advance Holiday Pay processing class (71) settings. The rule processes the wage types set to following specifications:
○ 4 – Stored in RT during HPVP
The rule stores wage types set to this specification in the Results Table (RT) during HPVP.
○ 5 – Moved to GRT only in HPVP
The rule stores wage types with this specification in GRT during vacation period. The employee receives this amount during HPRP.
● Reduce Holiday Pay by 1 rule (IEPB). This rule changes the Holiday Pay Periods wage type (/HOL) value for the following purposes:
¡ To determine whether the current payroll period is HPPP, HPVP or HPRP
¡ To determine the remaining number of vacation periods.
The Final processing – INTERNATIONAL schema (IEND) calls Check for Net Pay During Vacation Period rule (IECP) to check for Amount Paid wage type (/560) in this period. If this wage type exists, the rule gives an error and terminates the payroll run. This check is mainly for retroactive run during HPVP.
