Editing of Processes and Process
Elements
You can change or supplement the data for processes and process elements using a number of different tab pages available in the system.
● You have created the process or process elements.
● Other prerequisites are listed under Creating Processes with Process Elements.
The features depend on your settings in Customizing for Recipe Management. You can show and hide views (tab pages) or add your own views. The table below shows all the tab pages that are provided in the standard system for editing recipe-dependent process elements.

●
You only create the process on the
Process tab page. To edit the process elements, you
have to go to the screen for editing recipes. On the
Process
tab page, choose the stage or operation from the table or detail area.
You can only call up actions from the operation.
● If you have created a stage with an independent formula, assign a formula on the formula tab page on the screen for editing stages.
● You can create operations on both the process tab page in recipe processing, and in stage processing.
● At the stage and operation process levels, you can enter data for a quality inspection. For more information, see Quality Management.
● If a recipe process contains several operations, you define the relationships in operation editing. The relationships define how the sequence between two dependent operations is coordinated. You can link two operations in one of the following ways:
○ Finish-start relationship
○ Start-finish relationship
○ Start-start relationship
○ Finish-finish relationship
You can generate relationships between operations automatically in the following ways:
○ General relationships
Choose
with the quick info text Generate Relationshps(General).

All relationships that already exist are lost and are created again. The relationships are created as finish-start relationships.
○ Stream-dependent relationships
Choose
with
the quick info text Generate Relshps
(Stream-Dep.).
The operations that have been assigned are linked by a relationship irrespective of the flow of the streams. If a relationship already exists for one of the streams, the system issues an error message in the application log that the relationship was not created.
All other operations are linked to each other sequentially.

If you choose
with
the quick info text Delete All Relationships, you
delete all the relationships. It makes sense to do this before you generate
relationships that are dependent on streams.
● You can create equipment requirements for each process element; you can create only one equipment requirement for an action. The procedure is the same as that for recipe editing. An action only has one equipment requirement.
● As is the case with recipes, you can enter process parameters and link documents while you are processing stages, operations, and actions.

Also note the following:
● The process and all process elements can also be created as independent building blocks. The building blocks are edited as described above, but are extended to include additional data. For more information see Recipe Building Block.
● You can copy the recipe-dependent process elements in the recipe directly so that you can use them as building blocks. You cannot copy the complete process in the recipe. To copy process data, create a new process building block and use a recipe as a template.
●
Use
with
the quick info text Previous Object or
with the quick info text Next Object in the application toolbar to easily navigate to
the next or previous stage or operation if the navigation area is closed.
Navigation is only possible for objects with the same reference
object.
