Executing Clustered Tasks 

Use

Using a presentation device, you can execute clustered putaway, picking, replenishment and movement tasks.

Prerequisites

The handling units that you scan:

·        Are not from bulk storage

·        Do not have assigned to them tasks that are part of a task bundle or superbundle

Procedure

...

       1.      From the Menu screen, choose one of the following menu paths:

¡        Stock Transfer ® Putaway ®Putaway by clustered handling units

¡        Stock Transfer ® Picking ®Picking by clustered handling units

¡        Stock Transfer ® Replenishment ® Replenishm. by clust. handling units

¡        Stock Transfer ® Internal movement ® Internal movement by clust. HUs

The Select HU screen appears.

       2.      Enter an HU number via the scanner or keyboard and choose Enter. The HU appears under the Selected HU list.

       3.      Repeat step 2 for all HUs for which you want to execute tasks.

       4.      Choose Next. The Source screen appears.

We recommend that you skip the Source screen. To do this, set the Skip source indicator in Customizing for Logistics Execution ® Task and Resource Management ® Presentation Management  ® Define Flow Logic ® Transaction Catalog for the relevant transactions.

       5.      Choose Save  to confirm the task at source.

       6.      Choose  to scroll down to the Source screen of the next task.

       7.      Repeat steps 4-6 for each task.

       8.      After confirming each task at source, choose Next. The Destination screen of the first task to be executed, as determined by the system, appears.

       9.      To re-sequence the order in which the HUs/materials will be placed at their destinations:

                            a.      Choose ReSeq.

                            b.      Enter the HU numbers in the desired order.

                            c.      Choose Save. You return to the Destination screen of the first HU’s task in the amended sequence. Any HUs whose order you did not re-sequence will appear in their original order after the re-sequenced HUs.

   10.      Choose Save to confirm the task at destination.

   11.      Scroll down to the Destination screen of the next task.

   12.      Repeat steps 10-11 for each task.
