Consistency Check on Budget Objects  

Use

This function enables you to carry out a consistency check on budget objects in a budget structure (BS) that you defined using individual objects.

The system checks if a complete hierarchy of budget objects is guaranteed and if superior objects for all budget objects exist.

Features

Consistency in the BS is guaranteed if:

·        the superior commitment item of the same funds center is a budget object

·        or if the same commitment item is defined as a budget object on the level directly above

The BS is consistent if the superior budget object is not more than “1 center level and 0 item levels” or “0 center levels and 1 item level” away.

Activities

       1.      Choose Accounting ® Public Sector Management ® Funds Management ® Master Data ® Budget Structure ® Former Budgeting ® Change.

       2.      Enter the required data and choose .

       3.      Choose .

In the event of an error, the following happens:

In the dialog box Document lines: Display messages the system displays a list of all budget objects for which no superior budget objects are defined.

       4.      Correct the respective budget objects manually or choose Edit ® Enhance. This function automatically creates the necessary superior budget objects for those objects that lack them. The system generates a message, telling you how many superior budget objects were created.
