The N.I.F tax number is assigned by Spanish authorities to uniquely identify a tax-paying company in Spain.
Use
The N.I.F. tax number is used for reporting to the tax authorities.
The company code's N.I.F. tax number is maintained in the company code global data.
The N.I.F. tax number for customers and vendors is maintained in the field tax code 1 found in the master data.
Structure
The N.I.F. tax number must be exactly 9 characters long and without gaps. The tax number of a customer or vendor will be checked according to this validation rule.
