Customizing Settings for Form Fields

Specification of Budgeting Currency

The budgeting currency is specified in the budget profile.

For more information on settings in the budget profile, see the Implementation Guide (IMG).

For internal orders, under Accounting ® Controlling ® Internal Orders ® Budgeting and Availability Control ® Maintain Budget Profile.

For projects, choose Project System ® Costs ® Budget ® Maintain Budget Profiles.

Specification of Budget Manager

For Internal Orders:

In Customizing, you can define a budget manager per controlling area, object class, and order type.

Caution
You can have several budget managers or WBS element managers! If there are several persons responsible, the system chooses the first one in the list.

For WBS Elements:

The budget managers are the person responsible for the WBS element and the person responsible for the project.

If no budget manager was entered, and no person responsible is specified in Customizing, the manager is determined using the role defined in Customizing for the scenario.

Specification of Budget Objects

The system checks which potential budget objects are assigned to the budget receiver.

If budget was already allocated to the potential budget objects, it is a budget object for the request.

If no budget was allocated to the potential budget object yet, the system checks the path in the hierarchy from the bottom up to the top WBS element. The first object with budget that the system finds in the hierarchy is the budget object for the request.

If the system finds no object in the whole hierarchy to which budget has been allocated, it sets the object initially defined as a potential budget object as the budget object for the request.

Specification of Processor

The processor is found using the standard role defined in Customizing for the scenario.

If you did not define a standard role, the budget manager is the processor.

You can also define a person as the processor.
