Multiple Specifications in Certificate
Processing
Quality certificates can be created automatically by the system or manually by the user during delivery processing. Object-specific specifications from multiple specifications can be output on certificates. You can thereby certify that a delivered material or product fulfills certain standards (for example, requirements from pharmacopoeia, requirements from government agencies, country-specific legal requirements, and so on).
In automatic certificate creation, the multiple specification objects for the sales and distribution document are determined automatically. To make this possible, certain settings and assignments must be made in Customizing and in the certificate profile. Based on these settings, the system searches for a suitable object (for which multiple specifications have been created) for each characteristic.
If you are creating a certificate manually, you must specify the multiple specifications object in the print report.
The following prerequisites must be met in Customizing for Quality Certificates, so that the system can output object-specific specifications at certificate creation.
· Under Allowed combination of specification and value origins, the allowed combinations of specification origins and results origins for multiple specifications have been defined.
· Under Define Data Origins, suitable function modules have been defined for the origin of the characteristic specifications (specification origin 11 (Multiple Specification), or specification origin 13 (Multiple Specification, Production Chain)).
· Under Origin of characteristic values, suitable function modules have been defined for the results origin 11 (Multiple Specifications) and 13 (Multiple Specifications, Production Chain). The unit and the number of decimal places for displaying the result is taken from the multiple specification if the system finds a multiple specification for a characteristic (in this case, the number of decimal places and the unit in the certificate profile are ignored).
In the characteristic data for the certificate profile, the origin Multiple Specification (11 or 13) must be entered as the specification and results origin for every characteristic.
If certificates are being created automatically, the system checks whether multiple specification objects for the fields in the sales and distribution document (for example, material, customer, or country) are available in the inspection lot. If the sales and distribution document contains a field value (for example, the field value Smith Ltd for the object Customer), for which a multiple specification exists in the inspection plan, then the specifications from this multiple specification can be output on the certificate. The system searches in the following order: 1. Customer, 2. Country. The specifications from the shelf-life specification are also always output on the certificate. If no data is available in the form of multiple specifications, the standard shelf-life requirements are output on the certificate. If there are no standard shelf-life requirements are available, the system uses the specifications from the release specification. If it is not possible for the system to identify a unique object in the sales and distribution document, it outputs the standard specifications on the certificate.
In the standard form for certificates QM_QCERT_01, the system outputs valuations that are based on multiple specifications. You can use this as a template to create your own forms.
The program Quality Certificate for Inspection Lot with Multiple Specifications is available for the manual creation of a certificate with reference to an object. You can use this program to create a quality certificate for an inspection lot. This quality certificate uses a special multiple specification object for certificate creation. On the selection screen, you select an inspection lot and this object. If you execute the program, you can subsequently display the certificate in the print preview and output it on an output device.
To execute the program, choose Logistics ® Quality Management ® Quality Certificates ® Outgoing ® Certificate Creation ® For Inspection Lot With Multiple Specifications.
