Create Appraisal Document for Part Appraisal 
If you want to create an appraisal document for a part appraisal, you proceed as follows:
· You enter the header data for the appraisal document, that is you define the persons participating in the appraisal process and the validity period.
· You add individual objectives for the employee.
· You add any attachments to the appraisal document.
· You end preparation of the appraisal document.
Appraisers or appraisees can create an appraisal document using the Create Appraisal Document transaction. You can change an appraisal process by assigning different properties to part appraisers (see point 5).

Access the
Create Appraisal Document
transaction (PHAP_CREATE).
Your user name is proposed as the appraiser but, if necessary, you can
overwrite this value.
2. In the Appraisee field, enter the name of the person who is to be appraised.

Select the
Define Part Appraiser pushbutton
next to the Part Appraiser field.
The Part Appraiser Selection dialog
box is displayed and your user name is proposed in the Part Appraiser field.

If
necessary, select any further part appraisers by selecting from the input help
the name of a part appraiser you want to include in the appraisal process.
When you confirm your entries by choosing the Enter button, the name is transferred to the
main text in the dialog box.
5. If required, define properties for each part appraiser by choosing between the following options:
a.
Mandatory
Appraisal
If you want
to ensure that the appraisal document must be processed by all participants
before it can be closed by the manager, for example, you must flag the part
appraisers involved in the process as mandatory. The appraisal document can only be
accessed by the appraiser after all part appraisals have been
completed.
b.
Seq.
Part
Appraisers
By assigning
a sequence number, you can define the sequence in which the appraisals are to
be performed.
c.
Role ID
You can use
the input help to choose a role to assign to the part appraiser. This role is
in relation to the appraisee (for example, manager, co-worker).
d.
Weighting
In this
field you can define that the appraisals performed by certain appraisers have
a different weighting.
e.
Validity
Dates
In the date
fields you can determine the period during which the appraisal must be
performed.
· Repeat this procedure for all part appraisers who are participating in the appraisal process.

Transfer
your entries.
The dialog box is closed and the number of part appraisers is displayed in the
Part Appraiser
field.
7. Store a validity period for the appraisal process.

Choose the
Add Objectives pushbutton.
The system opens a dialog box in which you
9. Choose the individual objectives you require for the appraisee by selecting the relevant entries.

Transfer the
objectives.
The dialog box is closed.
If the necessary authorizations have been stored for your system user, you can use the Add Attachments pushbutton to upload files and add these as an attachment to the appraisal document.
The End Preparation pushbutton enables you
to make the appraisal document available for processing by the participants of
the appraisal process.
The status of the appraisal document changes from In Planning to In Process.
You have created an appraisal document for a part appraisal process. In defining part appraisers you can control different aspects of the appraisal process.

If a part appraisal that has been flagged as mandatory has not been performed and the appraisal process cannot be completed as a result, system administration can delete the Mandatory Part Appraisal flag.
