Confirmation Settings in the Project
System
Along with the usual Customizing settings you can
make other settings in the application using three additional
functions.
·
·
Define cause
of variance In a project it is often the case that delays occur
when activities are carried out. Identical factors can be the causes for
delays, depending upon the type of the project. If this is the case you can
define the causes of the variances, which are either purely informational, or
are assigned to a user status, thereby triggering a workflow. For more
information, see the Implementation Guide for Project System under
Confirmation
®
Define Causes for
Variances.
·
Confirmation
parameter (Implementation Guide for Project System under
Confirmation
® Define Confirmation
Parameters). Here you define
·
The default
values for the various indicators in the entry screen for
confirmations
·
Which checks
should be carried out You can stipulate that the system checks whether a date
can lie in the future or that a message is issued if the work or duration
confirmed varies from the planned value more than a certain percentage. If
variances from the planned values exist you can start a workflow.
